I-T denies issuing notice to Big B

There were reports of notice issued against Amitabh for alleged purchase of sunglasses worth Rs 2.70 lakh.

The Income Tax department on Friday said no notice has been issued to actor Amitabh Bachchan regarding alleged purchase of sunglasses worth Rs 2.70 lakh as reported by a section of the media.

In a statement issued in Mumbai, the office of the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax said, "The department has not issued any such notice to Amitabh Bachchan on this issue."
