ACTING ON a tiff-off, a team from the Kakdeo police station busted a gang of miscreants involved in manufacturing countrymade pistols. The team, which was led by inspector Rakesh Kumar Singh, caught three miscreants manufacturing countrymade pistols in a raid on Tuesday. The illegal activity was undergoing in a dilapidated building at Rajapurwa. Those arrested by the police included Raju Yadav, Chote Yadav and Radhey Shyam and five countrymade pistols were recovered from their possession.

The team, which was led by inspector Rakesh Kumar Singh, caught three miscreants manufacturing countrymade pistols in a raid on Tuesday. The illegal activity was undergoing in a dilapidated building at Rajapurwa.
Those arrested by the police included Raju Yadav, Chote Yadav and Radhey Shyam and five countrymade pistols were recovered from their possession. Apart from this, raw material and instruments used for manufacturing such pistols were also recovered from the spot.
On interrogation, accused Radhey Shyam revealed that they had manufactured more than 400 countrymade pistols.
Radhey Shyam said his associates Raju Yadav and Chote Yadav sold the pistols between Rs 1500 and Rs 2000. Police officials also informed that Radhey Shyam had earlier been arrested by the Unnao police some 10 years ago. After that he had left his village, went to Lucknow and started manufacturing ‘Katta’ with the assistance of Raju and Chote Yadav, police officials said.
The other two accused Raju Yadav and Chote Yadav had also been arrested earlier by the Sachendi police under Arms Act and a case was still pending against them.
