IMC meet on Jan 12 to discuss CDP

A MEETING of the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) General Council will be convened on Thursday, ahead of the January 15 deadline for submission of the City Development Plan (CDP) for projects to be funded under the Rs 50,000 crore Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).

A MEETING of the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) General Council will be convened on Thursday, ahead of the January 15 deadline for submission of the City Development Plan (CDP) for projects to be funded under the Rs 50,000 crore Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).

The General Council will discuss modalities of the Rs 342 crore phase-I of the PHED sewage and drainage master plan, as well as road constructions including phase-II of the Bond Road scheme that constitute the chief components of the CDP.

If approved by the General Council, the CDP will be forwarded to the State Government. The survey to identify below-poverty-line (BPL) card holders and allocation of tenders for the second phase of the Bond Road scheme to Mumbai-based firm M/s Pratibha Enterprises would also be taken up at the January 12 meeting, which is to be convened at 11 am at the IMC assembly hall.

A proposal to offer fiscal assistance to victims of theft or arson, education cess waiver for charitable educational institutions, appointment of consultants to supervise contract

management and supervision of the municipal bond road scheme, advance payments of rent and lease rent for IMC properties, revisions of wage payments to muster roll employees as per rates decided by the District Magistrate are among issues that will be taken up at the meeting.
