The national selection committee will meet in Bangalore on Thursday to pick the Indian team for the first Test against Australia commencing on October 6, BCCI sources said.

Pranab Roy, selector from East zone, has already arrived and the new chairman of selectors, Kiran More, is slated to come later on Thursday night, the sources said.
Other selectors — V B Chandrasekhar (South Zone), Yashpal Sharma (North Zone) and Gopal Sharma (Central Zone) and BCCI secretary S K Nair would arrive on Friday, they said.
The selectors would watch the final day's proceedings in the four-day practice game between India Seniors and India A being played at M Chinnswamy Stadium, which is also the venue of the Test.
Skipper Sourav Ganguly and coach John Wright are already in the city. Ganguly is leading the India Seniors team, while Wright was seen watching the match from the players' stand in the first three days.
