Wholesale Price Index (WPI) for all commodities rose by 0.1 per cent to 201.3 points and it was 192.3 points a year ago.

Government revised the final inflation figure to 3.98 per cent for the week ended April 1 from provisional 3.51 per cent while WPI stood corrected at 198.6 points as against earlier estimates of 197.7 points.

Though inflation has come down marginally, it could raise its head in the coming weeks as petrol and diesel prices have been increased earlier this week which is expected to push up prices of essential items.
