Inter-state gang busted; ‘22 cases solved’

The Gurgaon police today claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of criminals involved in about 22 cases of robberies, thefts and snatchings. In addition to 17 incidents in Gurgaon, the gang had struck in UP, Delhi and Rajasthan too, in the recent past, police officials claimed.

The Gurgaon police on Saturday claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of criminals involved in about 22 cases of robberies, thefts and snatchings. In addition to 17 incidents in Gurgaon, the gang had struck in UP, Delhi and Rajasthan too, in the recent past, police officials claimed.

All five members of the gang were produced in a local court, that remanded them all into police custody for two days.

According to Gurgaon police commissioner S S Deswal, the gang had admitted to being involved in 22 cases of robbery, vehicle theft and snatching.

Out of these, 17 incidents took place in Gurgaon district alone.

One 315-bore country made revolver, a 32-bore country made pistol and a motorcycle were recovered from them.
