On a specific information, a police team raided a house in Bhatindi area of the city yesterday and arrested
three youths, four alleged sex workers and a woman pimp, officials said here today.
Of the arrested women and girls, two belonged to Hamirpur area in Himachal Pradesh, one to Hubli area in West
Bengal and two to Nagrota and Akhnoor areas of Jammu district, they said.
The arrested youths have been identified as Sandeep Magotra, a junior engineer, Vijay Sharma, a contractor, and
Rajiv Kumar, a shopkeeper, all the trio are residents of Jammu division, they said.
A case has been registered against the accused at Trikuta Nagar Police Station under different sections of
Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act.
