Though Pakistan were off to none too impressive start on the first day of the tour opener, it was a memorable birthday for the visiting skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq.

The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association made the occasion, on the first day of the three-day match between Pakistan and the Indian Board President's XI, a grand party distributing 'laddus' to all the spectators.

Inzamam, who turned 35 on Thursday, also joined the celebration and thanked everyone for the warm gesture.

"It is very nice that you are doing this to me," he said thanking the organisers and BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla.

Later in the evening, the Pakistan skipper cut a birthday cake in the team hotel.
