Another government school teacher allegedly responsible for “induction of people into their ongoing racket” and attaching them to the Indian handler of the Pakistan Intelligence Agency, was arrested by the Delhi Police on Saturday morning from Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sabar Khan (30), who had reportedly been working for Kafaitullah — a teacher — for the past two years, is now being brought to Delhi on transit remand for interrogation.
According to the police, Sabar’s job was only to meet different people in the Army, BSF and Air Force units and brainwash them to join the network.
“Sabar used to conduct meetings with these people on a regular basis. His sources used to pass on information to him including the secret documents from their respective units and he passed them further to Kafaitullah,” a police official said.
According to the police, when the police team reached Sabar’s residence to arrest him at 5am on Sunday, his door was found to be locked from outside but the light inside was on.
“After a series of arrests in the case, Sabar had an inkling that he may be arrested so he had locked himself inside the house. When the police team broke the lock, he jumped off from the first floor but fractured his leg. He was, however, nabbed taken to the hospital. Sabar will be brought to Delhi on Sunday,” police said.
