The grenade exploded in the compound of the house, causing damage to the house but no one was hurt in the incident.
Militants have upped the attacks on political workers and security forces recently. The ultras hurled a grenade upon police and security forces at Kangan Market in Ganderbal district yesterday. Four persons were injured in that attack.
Station House Officer of Sopore was injured in a grenade attack on his police station on Thursday while an election office in the same area was also attacked with grenades by the militants.
Although the first phase of polls on November 17 passed off peacefully, militants are trying to disrupt the remaining six phases.
