Three terrorists, including divisional commander of terrorist outfit Lashker-e-Tayyeba (LeT) are holed up in a house in Baderwah town of Doda district, where fierce gunbattle is on between the security forces and the terrorists.
The LeT divisional commander, Abu Tallah with two terrorists had come to offer prayers at a local mosque in Kai mohalla in Qila belt of Baderwah town around 1820 hours tonight, police officials said.
The terrorists later went to a nearby house for a meeting between LeT and Hizbul Mujahideen cadres, they said.
As soon as this information reached security forces, the troops and the police cordoned off the entire area and launched the search operation.
Terrorists, however, opened fire at the security forces when they reached near the house at 1930 hours, resulting in a fierce gun battle between the two, they said.
No one has been injured or killed in the firing and no damage is done to the mosque, police said.
