Japan will give 10 million yen ($85,000) worth of quake relief supplies to Iran after a series of earthquakes killed 70 people and injured more than 1,200, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
Tokyo has decided to provide relief goods including tents and blankets in response to a request made by Tehran, the ministry said in a statement.
The first quake occurred on Thursday evening in western Iraq, followed by a series of strong quakes.
Some 21,000 families were homeless in 330 villages that were damaged or flatted by the series of quakes, according to Iran's state news agency IRNA, quoting an official.
