Karun Chandhok: Narain Karthikeyan sat it out again as Chandhok got another try out in the first practice session on Friday. Gave a fairly good account of himself by setting a fastest time 0.609 seconds slower than that of Team Lotus teammate Heikki Kovalainen. The team's retention of Jarno Trulli for 2012 was a blow to the Indian's hope to get a race seat for next season, however.
