Kerala minister offers to quit

Kerala forest and cinema minister KB Ganesh Kumar, who is at the centre of a sleaze row, on Wednesday offered to quit. But chief minister Oommen Chandy has asked him to wait till the UDF (ruling coalition) co-ordination committee meet on Thursday.

Trouble began for the actor-politician after a local daily carried a report saying a minister had been roughed up in his official residence by his lover’s husband. Immediately, UDF chief whip PC George called a press meet alleging that the minister in question was Kumar. hTC
