Even though the city police have some clues about the prime suspect in the Cincy Sebastian murder case, they are yet to make any arrests.
Meanwhile, the victim's body was flown to her native place in Kerala on Friday. Her last rites were performed in Pattoor cemetery at 4pm. Several dignitaries, including the city mayor, attended the funeral.
The police on Friday claimed to have procured the call details of the suspect, also hailing from Kerala. He had visited the victim’s PG accommodation on Wednesday, the day of the murder. Police officials said the suspect works in a Delhi hospital.
“The suspect was in touch with a man in Kerala. The man informed the suspect that Cincy's father would reach the Delhi airport at 11:30pm on Wednesday,” the police said.
“He called up the Kerala-based man and said that nobody had arrived,” police added.
From here, the suspect proceeded towards Cincy’s PG accommodation.
However, PG owner Devender Kaur refused to talk to him, the police said.
