Nepal's Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala is likely to announce his cabinet on Monday, sources close to his party Nepali Congress said.

The 84-year old veteran, who was sworn in on Sunday by King Gyanendra, is likely to have a small cabinet to begin with, the sources said.

Party sources had said earlier that Koirala, leading an all-party government, was expected to constitute a 15-member Cabinet on Sunday.

According to the sources, KP Sharma Oli, senior politburo member of the Nepal Communist Party-UML was likely to be included as Deputy Prime Minister in the new cabinet.

Others likely to find berths in the cabinet were Nepali Congress General Secretary Ramchandra Poudyal, its Central Member Ramsharan Mahat, Nepali Congress (Democratic) acting President Gopal Man Shrestha and its General Secretary Bimalendra Nidhi, the sources said.
