Lokayukta eyes IAS officers

AFTER GIVING a jolt to the State Government by bringing charge sheets against Minister Jugal Kishore Bagri and BJP MP Ganesh Singh, the Lokayukta is all set to take up cases of similar nature against IAS officers.

AFTER GIVING a jolt to the State Government by bringing charge sheets against Minister Jugal Kishore Bagri and BJP MP Ganesh Singh, the Lokayukta is all set to take up cases of similar nature against IAS officers.

Encouraged by the recent Supreme Court verdict that prosecution can be undertaken without the government’s permission, Lokayukta is gearing up to initiate similar proceedings against a senior IAS officer.Confirming this, sources in the Lokayukta said that the organisation had decided to take up the cases for which State Government had held back permission for years.

Though the sources refused to reveal the identity of the IAS officer, they hinted that his name had appeared in the list displayed on the notice board of Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta a couple of years ago.
