Amarjeet Singh alias Mota, 24, was arrested while a teenage boy was detained in the same case. However, the police did not confirm the detention of the minor. The two are among the seven people accused of abducting and raping the 28-year-old pub worker.

“Amarjeet was arrested from Old Delhi. Another accused, a 15-year-old-boy, has been identified and will be arrested on Thursday,” said Maheshwar Dayal, DCP (Crime), Gurgaon.

The police had earlier arrested five men, all aged between 20 and 25 years, from under the Basai flyover. They were found to be travelling in the same Maruti Alto car in which they had abducted the woman.

The woman, a resident of Badarpur, was abducted from outside Sahara Mall on Monday at 2.30am and raped in a rented house. The house belonged to Amarjeet, who works with an automobile company.
