Man arrested for murdering friend
An aspiring bollywood choreographer was arrested for allegedly strangulating his friend to death and concealing his body in a sofa-cum-bed in suburban Goregaon on Thursday.
An aspiring bollywood choreographer was arrested for allegedly strangulating his friend to death and concealing his body in a sofa-cum-bed in suburban Goregaon on Thursday.
The accused Sachin Kamble(25) allegedly strangulated Bhupendrasingh Patial (45), who was a photographer, after he fell unconscious due to alcohol. The accused had also allegedly mixed sleeping pills in the alcohol, police said. "About three months ago, Patial has taken Rs 25,000 from Kamble stating that he would prepare a good photo profile of him which would help him to get an entry in Bollywood. However, he had done nothing since then. Whenever, Kamble asked Patial to return his money, he always avoided him," Police Inspector from Dindoshi police station, Hemant Patil said.
"Upset over his behaviour, Kamble hatched a plan to eliminate him. He called Patial home for a drink. On Monday evening, four persons sat together for drink. Kamble mixed sleeping pills in the alcohol. When the other two went to sleep in the other room, Kamble strangulated Patial to death and hid his body in a sofa-cum-bed," Patil said. "When the other two woke up, Kamble told them that Patial left for home," he said.
"Since then, Patial went missing. After receiving complaints of foul smell emanating from Kamble's room, police searched his house and found the dead body," he added. Later at around 0130 hours today, the accused was nabbed, police added.
