“Health services have been restored in hospitals attached to the five medical colleges of the state from this afternoon and we are all back on duty,’’ GMC JDA president Dr Manish Rawat informed. He added the striking doctors had a telephonic conversation with State Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi today.

“The Health Minister told us that the State Government would take a decision on our demands after a meeting but he assured that the State Government would follow the Supreme Court directives,” Dr Rawat maintained.

He, however, added if the State Government decided to take any disciplinary action against the striking medicos, they would knock on the apex court’s doors for justice. Following the strike-off call, anti-reservationists also cancelled the proposed Bhopal bandh scheduled for June 3.
