An 18-year-old girl was suspected to have been abducted by men in a sports utility vehicle near the government hospital in Ghaziabad's Loni on Saturday morning.

An 18-year-old girl was suspected to have been abducted by men in a sports utility vehicle near the government hospital in Ghaziabad's Loni on Saturday morning. The girl was on a visit to the hospital along with her sister-in-law when the incident took place.

The incident occurred around 11am when the two women were on their way to the hospital. The family members have sought police help and said 4-5 men in a Scorpio pulled the girl inside their car and fled.

Senior police officers said the family members had been asked to lodge a police complaint. Officers who reached the spot said the allegations seemed dubious because there were no other witnesses.

"We have asked her family to lodge an FIR, but investigations into the alleged incident are still on. We have called her family members and sought more details about her," superintendent of police Jagdish Sharma said.
