Miley Cyrus has said that the release of
the movie does not mean the end of her hit TV show, however, insisted she can’t play the teen pop star throughout her life.
The teen starlet is hoping that the movie, scheduled for an April 10 release, won't be the last time people get to see her beloved Disney character. "This movie was never meant to be the end of Hannah Montana," Us quoted her as telling April's Billboard magazine.
She added: "The thing is, a lot of people put where the show''s future lays in my hands — and it''s not up to me. It''s up to Disney and whether they want more episodes, and we hope that they do."
Meanwhile, a Disney Channel rep has said that the network is still considering the option to renew the show for a fourth season.
Still, the 16-year-old actress, who recently released her memoir Miles to Go, has said that she has realised that her Hannah Montana days are winding down. "It's just an honour for people to be able to relate to me and my music — and not so much the character anymore. I can''t be Hannah Montana forever. I have to have something after this. I can''t do this when I''m 30,” she said.
However, she has insisted that taking a break from the show has its own advantages. "It''s, like, the first time I''ve seen all my friends in seven months. It''s hard, man. With all the stuff that goes on with this business, I only want to do something if I absolutely love it," said Cyrus, who is dating model Justin Gaston, 20.
