A minor fire at an Army godown inside the Fort St George in Chennai late Wednesday night reduced about 100 chairs to ashes, Fire and Police said today.

The cause of fire was still being ascertained and there no casualty in the late night incident, police officials said adding four fire tenders doused the flames.

Police were probing the incident, they added.
