A mob stabbed and injured Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s Ambernath president Prafful Suryrao on Wednesday. Suryrao said the assailants were mostly north Indians and Muslims. MNS state vice-president Sambhaji Patil threatened to take to the streets if the police did not arrest the accused in eight hours. Police Inspector Umrao Banger said a complaint had still not been filed.
