A 22-year-old woman was allegedly gang raped by four men who took her along with her child after falsely informing her about her husband’s accident, the police said.
The woman told the police that the four accused, identified as Jugal Pasi, Dharmendra Pasi, Sanjay alias Sanju and Ajay, all from Jabran Colony under Neelganga police station limit, arrived at her house in a car on Sunday evening.
The men told her that her husband had met with an accident following which she hurriedly accompanied them in their car, the woman claimed, adding that she trusted them because they were her husband's friends.
Later, the four accused took her to a desolate spot at Ghosala village under Raghavi police station limit and threatened her to kill her two-year-child if she did not comply with their order.
The men then gang raped her, she alleged. The four accused then fled from the spot, leaving the woman and her child at the spot. Later, the woman somehow managed to reach a police station.
Raghavi police station in-charge DS Biswal said the four accused were already involved in various serious offences like murder, attempt to murder, loot, extortion and illegal liquor smuggling. Several cases are registered against the accused at various police stations, he said.
