The Corporation has received a cash prize of Rs.40,000. The MPHHDC is the second channelising agency of the National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation. It had submitted an innovative scheme to the National Corporation.
With the loan obtained under the scheme, the corporation is providing employment opportunities to the weavers of minority communities through its primary cooperative societies.
Under the scheme, employment generation activities are being carried out in Mandsaur, Padhana-Sarangpur and Ashtha. The weavers are producing handloom cloths against the supply orders from various departments.
The National Handloom Development Corporation has set up nine yarn depots in Madhya Pradesh to provide thread to weavers in their respective clusters.
