N Railway to run 400 summer special trains

Northern Railway will run 400 special trains and increase the passenger carrying capacity of several others by augmenting additional coaches in order to clear extra rush of passengers during the summer season.

Northern Railway will run 400 special trains and increase the passenger carrying capacity of several others by augmenting additional coaches in order to clear extra rush of passengers during the summer season.

The trains will be running from mid-March till the first week of July, a Northern Railway official said.

The frequency of the special trains will depend on the traffic on the routes, the official said.

The special trains include New Delhi-Jammu Tawi AC Superfast special, Delhi-Udhampur Express, Varanasi-Jammu Tawi superfast special, Varanasi-Delhi superfast special, NewDelhi-Lucknow superfast special, New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi special and Hazrat Nizamuddin-Dehradun AC Special train.

Delhi Sarai Rohila-Patna Express, Delhi Sarai Rohila-Darbahanga Express, Dadar-Varanasi special, Bandra Terminus-Jammu Tawi special, Bandra Terminus-Amritsar special, Allahabad-New Delhi special, Howrah-New Delhi special, Howrah-Dehradoon Superfast special, Jaipur-Chandigarh special and Guwahati-New Delhi special train.

The trains to be augmented are Allahabad-Meerut City Sangam Express, Allahabad-Dehradun Link Express and Kanpur Central-New Delhi Shram Shakti Express.
