Nalini had enjoyed the facility till the end of January 1998.

In her petition seeking restoration of the facility, Nalini, whose death sentence was commuted to life following intervention by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, said that based on her educational qualification (MA) she enjoyed 'A' class facility from January 1992 till January 28, 1998, the day when the TADA court pronounced its verdict in the case.
