Naxalites have killed a youth in Gadchiroli district suspecting him to be a police informer, police said.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Anand Gharmi of Gatta village in Etapalli division of the district.
According to police, around 50 Naxalites stormed the village at around 10.30 pm yesterday. They summoned Anand out of his house and thrashed him brutally before villagers.
Later they slit his throat with sharp weapon and threw his body on the road at some distance from the village.
According to police, Naxals suspected Anand to be a police informer and therefore may have killed him.
Additional forces have been rushed into the area in search of the accused.
