Naxals abduct 52 villagers in Chhattisgarh

Naxalites today abducted 52 villagers at gun point to a jungle of Dantewada district, police sources said.

Naxalites on Tuesday abducted 52 villagers at gun point to a jungle of Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, police sources said.

The Maoists kidnapped the residents of Manikonta village under Errabore police station area, about 550 km from the state capital, on Tuesday afternoon," police sources from Errabore said by phone.

The villagers were taken to a nearby jungle, they said adding a police team headed for the area.
