NCP to contest LS polls in Haryana

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has decided to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Haryana.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has decided to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Haryana.

Ved Pal Singh, president of the state unit of NCP told mediapersons at Ganaur town in Sonepat on Wednesday that the party will field Sukhbir Singh Farmana, sitting MLA from Rohat in Sonepat district as party candidate from Sonepat Lok Sabha seat and the name of other party candidates will be announced shortly.

He asked the party workers to remain united and work for the success of the party candidates in the Lok Sabha elections.

The Haryana unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has already fielded Dev Raj Dewan, a former MLA from Sonepat Lok Sabha seat.

The state BJP has already recommended the name of the sitting MP Kishan Singh Sanwan to the Central parliamentary board for fielding him as the party candidate from this seat. Sangwan is a three-time winner of the party from Sonepat LS seat.
