New tracks to end outer halting: GM

GENERAL MANAGER of the North Central Railway Buddhaprakash said here on Saturday that new tracks would be laid to solve the problem of incoming trains waiting at the outer signal at the Kanpur Central Railway station. Buddhaprakash, who was on inspection tour, said that railway authorities had approved three new tracks to do away with the problem of outer halting. Out of three, two tracks would be laid between the Central Railway Station and Panki, he added.

Buddhaprakash, who was on inspection tour, said that railway authorities had approved three new tracks to do away with the problem of outer halting.

Out of three, two tracks would be laid between the Central Railway Station and Panki, he added.

He further said that another track would be laid between Panki and Bhaupur railway station.

He further said that problem of water-logging on the city side of the Central Railway Station would be solved.

The general manager said that the local authorities had been instructed to start the work. Buddhaprakash firmly refuted the charges being levelled against the railways for putting the hindrance in the ongoing construction work of ‘Nayapul’, whose width is being increased.

He said that railway authorities would extend all possible help in the ongoing construction work of the bridge. Regarding Memu trains, Buddhaprakash said that the railway authorities had not yet taken any decision on the issue.

About special trains during the forthcoming Kumbha Mela, he said that it would be considered and special trains might be introduced during the Mela.

Buddhaprakash announced the increase in the hostel accommodation for Electrical Training Section and said very soon construction work for the same would start.

During the inspection of Central Railway Station, Buddhaprakash observed that water was seeping through subway roof and directed the officials to take care of such damages.

Buddhaprakash was accompanied by senior officials of railway during his inspection tour.
