NLFT insurgents surrender in Agartala

Five insurgents including a woman of the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura have surrendered to police at Kanchanpur police station in North Tripura district.

Five insurgents including a woman of the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have surrendered to police at Kanchanpur police station in North Tripura district.

Police said the insurgents fled from a base camp in neighbouring Chittagong Hill Tract of Bangladesh recently and surrendered to the sub divisional police officer of Kanchanpur police station on Wednesday.

However, the ultras did not deposit any arms, the sources said.
