"The government is yet to receive any information on the IB inspector and his teacher friend," Chief Secretary Samar Ghosh said in Kolkata on Saturday.

Home Secretary GD Gautama had said on Friday that the two were possibly alive with both being taken to Jharkhand.

Maoist leaders Kisenji and Bikram have, however, denied any involvement of naxals in the incident.
