"There has been no move by this government in the past two years to resolve it through Hindu-Muslim talks," BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar told reporters in New Delhi.

His comments came in the wake of news reports about Central plans to protect Lord Ram's idol at the makeshift temple at the disputed site with a bullet proof enclosure.

"This is a welcome move though such a measure should have been taken much earlier," Javadekar said.
