Now buy railway tickets from IndianOil pumps

The IRCTC have signed an MoU with IOC for this and initially, the booking facility will be available at about 500 IOC outlets.

Railway tickets can soon be booked at Indian Oil Corp (IOC) refuelling stations and LPG distributors, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corp (IRCTC) said in New Delhi on Friday.

The IRCTC have signed a memorandum of understanding with IOC for this and initially, the booking facility will be available at about 500 IOC outlets.

"We will start this facility within the next 10 days and initially we will target the metros to understand the response," PK Goel, managing director, IRCTC, said.

"Indian Oil sales outlets are one of the major touch points for a commuter". The comfort of booking Indian Railways tickets conveniently at our sales points would surely come as a relief for them," said AMK Sinha, executive director (Retail Sales), IndianOil.

The tickets will be available on cash payment.
