The letter, purportedly written by Indian Mujahideen (IM), threatens a three-day attack programme on some vital installations including court complex, railway station, hospitals and MCF complex.

The letter was received on September 13, 2011.

The letter says that some vital installations in Faridabad would be attacked on different dates beginning September 15.

Police say that though the letter’s author ‘IM Zindabad’, doesn’t specifically mention attack on the installations, the letter clearly indicates that he wanted to convey that IM would attack such installations on three days.

Police said the letter mentions MCF complex on September 15, district court on September 16 and Escorts hospital and BK Hospital on September 17.

DCP (Headquarters) Raj Kumar Vashisht said, “Additional deployment has been made at the MCF complex and the other installations mentioned in the letter.”

He also said, “Though we doubt the letter’s veracity, but we are not leaving anything to chance.”
