Not to be outdone by the Opposition parties in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Tuesday, MLAs of four major Opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh went on a rampage in the Assembly on Wednesday.
Members of the TDP, CPI, CPM and TRS scuffled with marshals, broke window panes, smashed flower pots and whatever else they could lay their hands on.
Trouble started after Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy refused to let them discuss the alleged irregularities committed by companies owned by Chief Minister Y.S.R. Reddy’s son Jagan Mohan while raising funds for his daily Saakshi.
The Speaker suspended them for a day for obstructing proceedings. But the irate MLAs refused to leave and the scuffle broke out when the marshals tried to remove them forcibly.
