The SP activists, while organising protest demonstrations against the Congress led UPA government, staged a massive dharna. Presiding over the dharna, District President of SP, Gopal Yadav criticized the Congress led UPA government for their alleged conspiracy to dismiss Mulayam Singh’s government.
Activists of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha under the leadership of its city president, Santosh Yadav also took out a procession from Englishia Line crossing. After passing several routes the procession concluded at the dharna venue.
The agitated activists torched the hoarding carrying pictures of Rahul Gandhi at the dharna site. “Since Congress activists torched the hoarding of Mulayam Singh Yadav on his birth day. The SP activists would never tolerate such insult,” Santosh Yadav said. Yadav also criticised the Congress led UPA government for price hike in essential commodities. He further alleged that the Congress leaders were hatching a conspiracy to impose the President’s rule in Uttar Pradesh.
Later, the party activists roamed in different localities throughout the city and tore the banners of Congress party.
