NTPC Dadri’s second plant starts operations

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Dadri on Saturday started generating power from its second 490 MW coal-based power plant, which was officially inaugurated on Friday.

“Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde officially inaugurated this plant through remote control, from Delhi on Friday. With this, the total capacity of the Dadri plant has risen to 2649 MW,” said T.S.Rajput, DGM.
