Meanwhile, the advocates of the Civil Court expressed their displeasure over the report of the two-member probe committee set up by the district magistrate Dr Hariom. In the report, the committee has said that resisting moment was too much in comparison to the over turning moment which caused the fall of porch.
The report said that before opening the shuttering counter, weight should have been checked by the working agencies but the agency did not pay attention to this point, which led to collapse of the porch and it was not due to the poor quality of material used. Interestingly, the committee has not fixed the responsibility of any person in the case. Sources said after the incident, contractor Manoj was absconding and the officials were searching for him.
Acting president of Civil Court Bar Association Ram Prasad Shukla demanded from the GM State Construction Corporation that the whole under- construction building should be demolished and reconstruction should be started immediately.
Former secretary of Bar Association Balwant Shahi said the incident was very significant in nature, it was criminal negligence and if the administration would not take the issue seriously, the possibility of confrontation between advocates and administration could not be ruled out.
