A ten-year-old boy was tested positive for swine flu on Monday and is under treatment at the nodal centre AP Chest Hospital in Hyderabad.

The boy who has been quarantined is accompanied by his mother who has so far not reported any symptoms of H1N1 virus.
Her swabs have also been sent to the NICD, New Delhi for virology test. “But she seems to be normal,” Superintendent of the AP Chest Hospital Dr S V Prasad said.
The boy is from New Jersey and had came to Hyderabad on June 26 after which he showed flu like symptoms, Prasad said. Since the outbreak of the disease, a total of 18 swine flu cases have been tested positive in the hospital, Prasad added.
Meanwhile, the hospital has two suspects of H1N1 virus - a 14-month-old baby boy who was admitted yesterday and a 23-year-old student from London.
These two suspects are awaiting their medical reports and are presently under treatment, Dr Prasad said.
