Indian tennis ace Leander Paes became the most successful male tennis player in the history of Asian Games after he won the gold medals in the men's doubles and mixed doubles event in Doha.
Teaming with Sania Mirza, Paes won the gold in the mixed doubles and then doubled up with Mahesh Bhupathi to defend their title in the men's doubles on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old Paes took his tally of medals to six (four gold and two bronze). His first gold came in 1990 when he and Bhupathi won the doubles in Beijing Asiad. All his four gold medals have come from doubles events.
Bhupathi is second in the list with five medals (two gold, one silver and two bronze) while Chinese Liu Shuhua is third with (two silver and three bronze).
