Ninety-seven displaced Pakistanis living in Rajasthan for decades have been given Indian citizenship, an official said on Monday.

They received the certificate of citizenship from District Collector PL Agarwal after signing in Hindi at a special function in Jaisalmer collectorate on Sunday.
Of 1,086 Pakistani applicants, 1,029 have so far been given documents of Indian citizenship in four camps organised in the district, and "remaining 57 displaced people would be given the country status after due formalities", the official said.
