If you can drop Chopra after one game, how is it, that Parthiv, despite dropping catches and missing stumpings, continues to play, writes Kris Srikkanth.
Barring a miracle, this match and thereof the series is as good as lost for the Indians.

They will have themselves to blame at the end of this Test though a part of the blame can also be laid on the selection policies being followed.
Let me explain this. The biggest problem in the series has been opening combination with the bat, and this problem had been pressing on the Indians for long.
Now with three Tests as good as over, the problem continues and this is all because one man's confidence was shaken for no apparent reason.
I really cannot see why they ever sought to disturb the Sehwag-Chopra opening act. It was shocking to read about skipper Ganguly declaring early on in the season that Yuvraj would be Sehwag's opening partner. After going on and on about it, poor Chopra suddenly found himself opening in Bangalore.
Worse, he was then asked to warm the benches in Chennai before being brought back into the Test eleven at Nagpur. Tell me, what state of mind would the young man have been in had he walked out to bat against someone like McGrath, who was playing his 100th Test?
