"If no solution is found, we will have to be with the people. We will have to give up our power and join the people," Deputy Chief Minister and PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig said.

PDP, which has openly come out against the decision to allot forest land to the shrine board in Anantnag district, has set June 30 as the deadline for the government to rescind the order that has led to violent protests in the state.

PDP ministers had met their leader and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Monday and sought withdrawal of the order.

Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had last evening convened a meeting of Congress ministers to discuss the situation arising out of the land allotment.
