And the result is obvious, pink has won. Unfolding this riddle, city astrologers are ready to give their opinion as regards the usage of colour pink by most of the business ventures, who earlier used orange as their colour for promotion.
The ‘pinks and blues’ of business or rather the ‘pinks and oranges’ is finally out in the open.
According to Ashok, a known astrologer of the city, "pink is considered to be the colour associated with two of the most prominent planets considered significant from astrological point of view, Sun and Jupiter. They both herald prosperity and respect. As such the colour shines among others and it attracts the people," he said.
"Pink also has the nature to show alacrity and it can bring in tremendous positive changes in flourishing the business," says Ashok.
What about orange, which was earlier used as promotion? "Orange is an attractive colour but it is very difficult to keep looking at it continuously. It rather brings in the feelings of tiredness to eyes after sometime and seems to herald the sinking feeling of detachment," he said.
Those undergoing their education in marketing hold a different opinion. According to them, the colour changes are usually done in order to attract a particular age group of consumers and this time undoubtedly it is the younger generation whose favourite colour is pink.
"I feel a large chunk of consumers today belong to this age group and they feel easily attracted to this colour which is obviously the colour of the youths and with the famous telecom company giving into the similar tactics, there is no need to elaborate their objective of extending their market," said Amit, a student of marketing in an institute.
