PM gives awards at IIM Lucknow

PM on Saturday presented the IIM Lucknow's Lakshipat Singhania National Leadership Awards to six eminent persons.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday presented the IIM Lucknow's Lakshipat Singhania National Leadership Awards to six eminent persons including Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of Aditya Birla Group.

The awards were given for excellence in the field of business, science and technology, community service and social upliftment.

Kumar Mangalam Birla was chosen for the award under business category while noted scientist and Rajya Sabha member K Kasturirangan has been selected for science and technology whereas Shankar Netralaya SS Badrinath got it for community service and social upliftment category.

Kishore Biyani, Group CEP of Future Group, Swati A Paramal, Director of Strategic Alliances and Communications, Nicholas Piramal India Limted and Neelima Khetan, acting Director Institute of Rural Management were selected for Young Leaders Award.
