Prevented from going out for work, man kills 5-year-old daughter in Satna

A man axed to death his five-year-old daughter allegedly because she was trying to prevent him from going out of village for work in Satna district, about 500 km east from Bhopal, police said on Thursday.

A man axed to death his five-year-old daughter allegedly because she was trying to prevent him from going out of village for work in Satna district, about 500 km east from Bhopal, police said on Thursday.

The incident occurred on late Wednesday night.

According to Ram Nagar police, Tejbhan Nat, 36, had a dispute with his family members and decided to go to Ahmedabad where he was working as a labourer.

His wife and children were opposing the decision.

Police said when Nat left the house, his daughter Kajol followed him. Nat came back to his home and took an axe and killed his daughter.

Police said Nat was trying to escape but local residents caught him and handed him over to police.

Police registered a case and are investigation the matter.
