Pundit Bhatt mesmerises audience

RENOWNED CLASSICAL musician and maestro of Mohan Veena, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, mesmerised the audience through his meticulous performance in Varanasi on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

In a programme organised at WH Smith School on Wednesday, Bhatt rendered melodious tunes and left the audience spellbound here. The venue was jam-packed with students, parents and teachers.

On Tuesday evening, Bhatt stole the show by rendering Mohan-Veena in a programme organised in the memory of eminent classical singer Pt Anokhe Lal Mishra at the Assi Ghat.

Bhatt presented a tune based on raga ‘Gawati’ which was quite appreciated by the audience. Later, he presented several melodious tunes on the Mohan-Veena.

This programme was organised under the auspices of Parasnath Smarak Seva Sansthan.

The performance of Vishva Mohan Bhatt was followed by the presentation of eminent classical singer Pt Chanu Lal Mishra. Pt Mishra sang Chaiti, Dadra and Thumari.

This programme was followed by solo tabla performance of Rajkumar Mishra whereas Pt Amarnath Mishra presented tunes based on raga ‘Yaman’ on Sitar.

Kathak dancer Urmila Sharma gave the last performance of Tuesday night. She engrossed the audience by different eye expressions and gestures in the Kathak dance items.
